On this, my last challenge of the 3, I will be flying out to Phoenix, Arizona on 4th October 2017 and after acclimatising from the Scottish cold to the heat of the Sonoran desert, I will descend into one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, the heart of the Grand Canyon at Havasu Canyon, where myself and 25 others will hike for 5 days and explore this incredible landscape and camp under the stars. We'll be hiking up to 16 miles a day for around 7 hours a day and whilst the first days descent, which is 1 mile down into the Canyon, might present some "fear of heights" issues, the climb up and back out on the 5th day is more than likely going to tax some very tired legs! Some say you haven't lived until you've taken a journey through the Grand Canyon - so I am hoping that this final challenging adventure will leave me with the greatest ever sense of accomplishment......Until the next time!
